Nice place, nice atmosphere, good wine.
We went to the Salt Creek Grill in Dana Point to listen to an old friend play live music. Not a bad place to hang out. The lighting was dim, so if your going to check out people this isn’t the place, but for us it was pretty nice. The tables were large so there was plenty of room. The drinks were a little on the high side, even for a happy hour, but nothing too bad. Still, the atmosphere was friendly so that made up for it. Not much of a view, unless you enjoy looking at the parking lot or the open patio, but they did have a few fire pits.
The service was good at first, but as the night wore on, it didn’t improve. I guess as the night wore down the servers did too, so I can’t fault them, but when there is only 1 server in a bar with 20 tables, you know your going to wait. The server did not have a problem separating and dividing the bill, which took about 20 minutes so kudos to them for not fussing.
All together a nice evening in a nice place.
